NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Monday 5/7/18

Averaging 68.7 FanDuel points per game in the series against Toronto, LeBron James is hard to pass on. Who else should you target?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which includes tonight's game as well as both contests on Friday night.

Best of the Best

LeBron James ($14,500): LeBron's playoff production has been truly absurd. His 34.8 real-world points per game are 5.1 more than anyone else is averaging, his 9.5 rebounds per game rank 9th among players still alive in the postseason, his 8.8 assists per game sit 3rd in that group, and his 2.5 combined blocks and steals per game rank 11th. Unsurprisingly, that has him leading the league in FanDuel points per game in the playoffs at 63.7 -- more than 5.0 better than anyone else. His three games against Toronto have seen him post 66.7, 75.6 and 63.7 FanDuel points, and even with a big bump in price-tag, he's well worth paying up for.
