NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Sunday 4/8/18
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 6:00 PM EST and contains just three games.
Best of the Best
Rudy Gobert (FanDuel Price: $9,500) - Sunday's three-game slate is light on elite options, but don't look past Gobert. The Utah Jazz big man has dropped at least 47.5 FanDuel points, the number he needs to reach optimal five-times value at today’s price, 10 times this season, with 8 such outings coming in the past month. Since March 2nd, Gobert is averaging 15.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. That includes an exceptional all-around performance on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers, Sunday' opponent, in which he logged 12 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks. For the year, the Lakers rank 21st in FanDuel points allowed to opposing centers and have had 5.5 shots blocked per game, the third-most in the NBA.
