3 Daily Fantasy Basketball Players to Avoid on 3/29/18

Not only is Danny Green in a shooting slump, he has a rough matchup against the Thunder. Which other players should you stay away from?

In daily fantasy basketball, finding players you want to roster is a lot easier than finding players to avoid.

You can find a ton of great information and research on guys you might want to include in your DFS NBA lineups, but what about guys you may want to lessen your exposure to, or even fade altogether?

Avoiding players whose matchups or situations aren't as great as they seem can often be just as important as finding the best targets. After all, it takes only one player to sink a lineup. Searching for the landmines could mean the difference between winning and losing your contests. Which players should we avoid tonight?

Danny Green, SG, San Antonio Spurs

FanDuel Price: $5,200

Danny Green is in a slump in the month of March, shooting 35.3% from the floor and 32.8% from distance. Now he has a matchup against a stingy Oklahoma City Thunder defense, which gives him a tough pathway to paying off his FanDuel salary.

The Thunder are holding shooting guards to 0.84 FanDuel points per minute this season, and while Green did have a big game against the Thunder back in November, his most recent matchup against them yielded four points and four rebounds. Our models project Green for only 20.3 FanDuel points in this one.

De'Aaron Fox, PG, Sacramento Kings

FanDuel Price: $4,800

The Sacramento Kings are fighting for lottery odds right now, and every loss matters. For that reason, they have started to taper the minutes of De'Aaron Fox, and that makes him fade-worthy despite the dip in his price tag.

Also, Sacramento's matchup is not great for any of their point guards. The Indiana Pacers are limiting point guards to 0.83 FanDuel points per minute, which ranks second-best in on today's slate.

With a tough matchup and Frank Mason getting more playing time lately, Fox is hard to trust tonight, especially in cash games.

Jordan Bell, PF, Golden State Warriors

FanDuel Price: $4,700

Draymond Green and Kevin Durant have been ruled probable for tonight's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

That means Jordan Bell and Kevon Looney will see their fantasy stocks downgraded, and both are landmines in DFS tonight. Our models currently project Bell for just 13.9 FanDuel points in 12.2 minutes.
