NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Sunday 1/7/18
On a short slate, Russell Westbrook's matchup against the Suns will be hard to pass up. Who else are we looking at for NBA DFS on Sunday?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's slate.

Best of the Best

Russell Westbrook (FanDuel Price: $11,800) - On a four-game slate with the top-tier options limited, Westbrook is going to be hard to fade on Sunday. The Oklahoma City Thunder star is averaging 61.1 FanDuel points over his last 10 games as he has dropped three triple-doubles while scoring 29 or more real-world points in seven games. He is taking a touch more than 23 shots per game while his usage rate (37.5%) and assist percentage (54.5%) have been out this world. That alone would be incentive enough to start Brodie. Add in the fact he faces the Phoenix Suns, who have allowed a league-worst 112.4 points per game this season. Plus, the Thunder are the hottest offensive team in the league the last three weeks (51.4% field goal percentage and 112.9 points per game) so Westbrook is pretty much a must-play today.
