NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Friday 12/29/17

Russell Westbrook is back to his MVP ways and has the Thunder on a roll. Which other players should you be locking into your lineups on Friday night?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

Here, we'll combine that by looking at some of the best options on Friday's slate of games.

Best of the Best

Russell Westbrook (FanDuel Price: $11,500) - December 16th. That's the last time the Thunder lost and the last time Westbrook failed to reach at least 57.5 FanDuel points. Since that date -- marked by an awful loss to the New York Knicks -- Brodie has gone into full-on MVP mode. He's averaged 30.0 points, 10.3 assists, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game over Oklahoma City's six-game winning streak, and it hasn't been all volume. While he's met or exceeded his average usage rate (34.2%) in four of those contests, Westbrook has also shot 56.3% from the field and 40.0% from three. And this has all translated to 61 FanDuel points per game. Against a Milwaukee Bucks team on the back end of a back-to-back, it's safe to lock him in tonight.
