NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Saturday 12/23/17
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's slate.
Best of the Best
Kevin Durant (FanDuel Price: $11,600) - Ever since Stephen Curry went down with an ankle injury on December 4th, Durant has taken charge of the Golden State Warriors, averaging 32.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 3.4 blocks per game. His beastly performances have been a boon in DFS, too, as he's put up at least 60 fantasy points in five of seven games -- averaging a ghastly 61.3 FanDuel points per night in that stretch. Coming off a 68.9-FanDuel-point night on Friday, Durant faces a Denver Nuggets squad which has struggled defensively, posting a bottom-eight defensive rating while allowing the second-highest field goal percentage (47.9%). The last time these two teams played, the Warriors ran roughshod, scoring 127 points against the Nuggets while shooting a touch better than 54% from the floor.
