NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Wednesday 11/22/17
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's slate.
Best of the Best
LeBron James (FanDuel Price: $12,000) and Kevin Love ($8,000) - Tonight, the Cleveland Cavaliers host the Brooklyn Nets in a game with the highest over/under of the slate at 227 points. The Cavs are favored by 10.5 points but have a net rating of 0.0 this season, due to their awful defense. In other words, they aren't a sure bet to blow teams out. In their first meeting this season, LeBron dropped 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists in 41 minutes. He's played at least 36 minutes in every game in November until a blowout over the Detroit Pistons in their last game. I know that doesn't jive with the "they aren't locks to blow teams out" angle, but the minutes are heavy when James needs to play.
Love didn't have a huge game against the Nets the first time around (23.4 FanDuel points), but the Nets are 23rd in rebounding rate, and we project Love for a double-double in just 31 minutes. If he gets extended run in a tight game, he should post a huge line in this matchup.
