One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Ty Lawson, PG, Sacramento Kings

Ty Lawson has been superb over his past three games, outplaying Darren Collison in minutes, points, and assists. Over that span, Lawson has put up 15.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 7.7 assists.

He has the highest projected value among all point guards on Monday. Furthermore, Lawson faces off against his former team, the Denver Nuggets, who have the worst-ranked defensive efficiency among all teams on tonight's slate.

Denzel Valentine, SG, Chicago Bulls

Dwyane Wade has been ruled out of Monday's game, which will likely lead to more minutes for unproven rookie Denzel Valentine. Valentine has respectable per-36 averages this season of 10.5 points, 5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.4 steals and has the fourth-highest projected value among all players at his position tonight.

Priced at the minimum salary, he is worth considering as a punt option.

Justin Anderson, SF, Philadelphia 76ers

Justin Anderson is seizing the moment after being given a healthy dose of playing time over his past three games. During that span, he has averaged 10.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 26.8 minutes off the bench. Anderson notched a season-high of 19 points last Friday in a thrilling win over the New York Knicks.

Anderson and teammate Robert Covington share the third-best defense-versus-position matchup among all small forwards on tonight's slate. Also, Anderson is projected with the fourth-highest value among all players at his position.

Willie Cauley-Stein, PF, Sacramento Kings

There is no question that Willie Cauley-Stein has become a big part of the Sacramento Kings' plans moving forward, especially after coming off a career-high 39.3 minutes in an overtime loss to the Utah Jazz. Since the All-Star break, he is averaging 13.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks (five games).

According to our tools, Cauley-Stein is trending as tonight's hottest player among all positions, playing 119.06% above his season average in terms of fantasy points per night over the last five games.

Nene Hilario, C, Houston Rockets

You may not have noticed, but 14-year veteran Nene Hilario is currently riding a four-game streak of topping double figures with an average of 13.3 points. Over his last six games, Nene has been efficient by putting up 11.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and a steal in 19.1 minutes.

The Houston Rockets take on the San Antonio Spurs, a matchup featuring the highest projected over/under at 222 points. Clint Capela has been prone to foul trouble -- he's averaging 4.5 fouls in his last two games -- so Nene's services may be needed to help against the formidable front line of the Spurs.
