Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Tuesday 2/14/17

With Kevin Love sidelined, some Cavaliers, including Richard Jefferson, should see an expanded role.

It's only a three-game slate but there is a lot of news about some key players for these teams tonight. Knowing which players are dealing with injuries is one of the most important pieces of NBA DFS research you can do on any given night.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The biggest piece of injury news on Tuesday is the scoop that Kevin Love will miss the next six weeks with a torn meniscus. It's a tough blow for the Cleveland Cavaliers, but it seems like he'll be back just before playoff time.

For Tuesday, Channing Frye and Richard Jefferson will likely end up taking on more minutes and both are potential value targets against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Plus, Iman Shumpert was originally unlikely to play until after the break, but it looks like he is ready to play tonight. Look for DeAndre Liggins to lose out on minutes, along with Jordan McRae.

Chicago Bulls

Jimmy Butler will be making his return on Tuesday night for the Chicago Bulls, but Chicago also has the longest injury report of the night even with Butler probable.

The Bulls will be without Dwyane Wade, Nikola Mirotic and Paul Zipser tonight, so while they will have to rely heavily on Butler, some other guys are in play, as well. Doug McDermott should still get some run as could Michael Carter-Williams. Rajon Rondo and Denzel Valentine could also see some more time than usual.

Toronto Raptors

Patrick Patterson sat out over the weekend, and there has been no news on his status for tonight. Lucas Nogueira is in play if Patterson misses again.

However, the biggest piece of news for the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday was their trade of Terrence Ross for Serge Ibaka. The Raptors likely won't have Ibaka ready to play for this one, but of course they won't have Ross, either. Norman Powell should take on a lot of Ross' minutes tonight and going forward. He could be a fine play today.

Ty Lawson, Sacramento Kings

Ty Lawson is questionable for the clash with the Los Angeles Lakers. If he is out, Darren Collison should take on a large amount of minutes once again while Ben McLemore is also in play.
