One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Spencer Dinwiddie, PG, Brooklyn Nets

Spencer Dinwiddie has played well during his opportune situation in the Brooklyn Nets' backcourt. Dinwiddie has hit double-figure points in three of his last four games and has chipped in averages of 8.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3 assists in 28.9 minutes over that span.

Dinwiddie owns the highest projected value at his position on Friday's slate.

Iman Shumpert, SG, Cleveland Cavaliers

In case you hadn't noticed, Iman Shumpert is playing his best basketball over his last six games. Over that stretch, Shumpert has topped 10-plus points in each game with averages of 14.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 3.3 three-pointers made in 29.8 minutes.

According to our tools, Shumpert is trending as the hottest player among shooting guards playing tonight -- he's played 68.37% above his season average in terms of fantasy points per night over his last five games. Furthermore, the Cleveland Cavaliers are favored by 15.5 points, the highest spread among all teams tonight, so Shumpert could return increased value if given extended minutes.

Thabo Sefolosha, SF, Atlanta Hawks

Sefolosha is projected with the fourth-highest value among al small forwards on tonight's slate. At near-minimum salary, Sefolosha is worth considering as a flier.

Willie Cauley-Stein, PF, Sacramento Kings

Willie Cauley-Stein is coming off a season-high in the rebounding category, as he pulled down 10 total boards. The second-year big man has logged 20-plus minutes over his past two games with averages of 10 points, 7.5 rebounds, and a block in 23.9 minutes of action.

Cauley-Stein owns the fifth-best matchup among all power forwards in terms of fantasy points allowed on tonight's slate. The Sacramento Kings take on the Indiana Pacers, who are playing the second game of a back-to-back set, as well.

Willie Reed, C, Miami Heat

Hassan Whiteside will not suit up tonight, which means backup Willie Reed will be unleashed. Reed is coming off a 14-point outing in which he made 6 of 8 free throws in just 23.8 minutes. Over two games in which Reed has logged 30-plus minutes, he has averaged 22 points, 15 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks.

Reed boasts the highest projected value among all players on Friday's slate and could return great value at the center position.
