5 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 1/20/17

JaMychal Green looks to stay hot against the Kings. Which other low-cost options are in a good spot on Friday?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Jordan Clarkson, PG, Los Angeles Lakers

FanDuel Price: $4,300
Projected FanDuel Points: 21.5
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.99

The Los Angeles Lakers have lost five straight games, but Jordan Clarkson has had a nice streak going for himself in the scoring department. The point guard has not been shy shooting the ball lately, notching double figures in four straight games while hoisting 13.3 shot attempts per contest. During that span, Clarkson is averaging 17.5 points and 2.8 assists in 27.8 minutes on the court.

Clarkson owns the third-highest projected value among all shooting guards playing on Friday.

Langston Galloway, SG, New Orleans Pelicans

FanDuel Price: $3,700
Projected FanDuel Points: 12.0
Projected FanDuel Value: 3.25

Langston Galloway is coming off an 18-point game in which he drained 4-of-7 three-pointers in just over 31 minutes. If the New Orleans Pelicans can build a comfy lead, Galloway could thrive -- in 23 games in which he's logged 20-plus minutes this season, he is averaging 13.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.8 three-pointers made.

Galloway is playing against the Brooklyn Nets, who offer the best matchup to opposing shooting guards tonight. In addition, he could see increased minutes in what's projected to be a blowout game with a 10-point spread.

Matt Barnes, SF, Sacramento Kings

FanDuel Price: $4,000
Projected FanDuel Points: 22.2
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.55

The Sacramento Kings are in disarray with news of the season-ending achilles injury to Rudy Gay. Matt Barnes has an opportunity to step up, but will likely share the extra minutes with Garrett Temple. During Gay's 10-game absence in December and January, Barnes averaged 9.3 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.

Barnes is projected to provide the second-highest value among all small forwards.

JaMychal Green, PF, Memphis Grizzlies

FanDuel Price: $4,600
Projected FanDuel Points: 24.1
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.25

JaMychal Green is on the upswing according to his last two performances -- he's averaged 14.5 points and 9 rebounds in 27.2 minutes. Green looks to be taking smarter shots, as he's been extremely efficient over his last three games by converting 79% from the field and 71% from three-point range.

Our projections feel as though he'll continue his resurgence tonight.

John Henson, C, Milwaukee Bucks

FanDuel Price: $3,500
Projected FanDuel Points: 19.7
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.64

John Henson's impact has dwindled lately thanks to the stellar play of Greg Monroe. However, Henson may see an uptick of court time as the Milwaukee Bucks will take on the Orlando Magic, a squad that features three legitimate bigs in their lineup. The last time these two teams played, he recorded 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Henson boasts the highest projected value among all centers on tonight's slate and has the fourth-best matchup at the position courtesy of the Orlando Magic. He may be worthy for your lineup while priced at minimum salary.
