NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Friday 1/13/17

With a nine-game NBA DFS slate on Friday, there are several important injuries to track before roster lock.

After going through a few weeks with a bunch of injuries, things have cooled off a bit around the NBA. Despite that, it's still important to follow injury news all the way up to tip-off to make sure everyone on your DFS squad suits up. Here are the most notable injuries to keep track of on Friday.

Charlotte Hornets

Nicolas Batum is listed as probable after he made it through practice and shootaround. He will play tonight, but Jeremy Lamb is out and did not travel with the team. Cody Zeller returned to practice and he should also be back.

Boston Celtics

Avery Bradley is still in Boston and will not play tonight, so the Isaiah Thomas show will continue in Phillips Arena. However, Amir Johnson and Jaylen Brown will apparently try to play, which is not really good or bad news.

If the Boston Celtics are at full strength other than Bradley, Thomas and Al Horford are likely the only cash game options.

Miami Heat

Josh Richardson is still not ready and he is doubtful to play, while Willie Reed has also been ruled out. Reed's absence might give some more minutes to Hassan Whiteside, as well as James Johnson, who will likely be the backup center.

Zach LaVine, Minnesota Timberwolves

Zach LaVine was somewhat cryptic on Friday morning when asked whether he will play, so it looks like it's coming down to a game-time decision. Along with Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins getting a boost in usage, look for Shabazz Muhammad, Brandon Rush and Nemanja Bjelica to also get one if LaVine is out again.

Serge Ibaka, Orlando Magic

Serge Ibaka went through some 3-on-3 drills in practice on Thursday and it looks like he will be ready to return. His potential comeback will temper expectations for Aaron Gordon tonight.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Detroit Pistons

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had to leave Thursday's game after what looked like a rough shoulder injury. He is doubtful tonight and could be out for a little while if his shoulder is separated. Look for Stanley Johnson and Marcus Morris to pick up value, as well as Tobias Harris while Jon Leuer and Caldwell-Pope are out.

Isaiah Whitehead, Brooklyn Nets

Isaiah Whitehead had to leave last night's game early and it looks like he is questionable for Friday. If he is out, Sean Kilpatrick is going to be a very popular value pick.

Eric Gordon, Houston Rockets

Eric Gordon has missed the last two games with a sprained big toe, but he is probable to return tonight. Look for him to resume padding his Sixth Man of the Year resume.
