NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Thursday 1/12/17

Although Thursday's NBA DFS slate doesn't include a lot of injuries, there could still be some opportunity to uncover key value plays.

The last 10 days or so have been pretty crazy with regard to NBA injuries, so a lighter day like we're about to have for Thursday's DFS slate is a welcome sight. However, there's still plenty to analyze before setting a lineup.

Chicago Bulls

Jimmy Butler is reportedly feeling better, but is not with the team and will not play tonight against the New York Knicks. Nikola Mirotic is also out after flying back to Chicago because of an illness, so the Bulls are going to be thin on the wing.

Dwyane Wade rested Tuesday, but should be quite busy on Thursday while Rajon Rondo will serve as the team's sixth man. Other than those two, Michael Carter-Williams, Doug McDermott and Denzel Valentine are all interesting tournament options with Butler and Mirotic out.

Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans

Anthony Davis is by far the biggest question mark of the evening, as he deals with a hip injury. We should get some more news after the New Orleans Pelicans shootaround, but he did downplay the injury a few days ago.

LaMarcus Aldridge, San Antonio Spurs

LaMarcus Aldridge missed Tuesday with the stomach flu and we have yet to hear any updates on his status for Thursday. Dewayne Dedmon and David Lee would get the biggest boost if Aldridge isn't ready.

Trevor Booker, Brooklyn Nets

Trevor Booker is ready to play and if Davis doesn't suit up for New Orleans, he could be a fine value play.

Jon Leuer, Detroit Pistons

Jon Leuer will miss the next few games for the Detroit Pistons, so Tobias Harris will likely take his place. However, he has a tough matchup tonight against Draymond Green, so it's not a slam dunk by any means.
