Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Thursday 12/29/16

A trio of starting point guards -- including Goran Dragic -- may be back tonight, which could wipe out a bunch of value plays on Thursday's short slate.

Thursday has six games on the slate, and there are some high-profile players who could be making their returns tonight. With some of the possible returns coming in later games, you will have to be glued to the NBA newswires to get the most up-to-date information before games tip.

Notable Injuries

Goran Dragic, Miami Heat

Goran Dragic looks like he'll be able to play tonight against the Charlotte Hornets. We'll wait for confirmation before tipoff, but if Dragic does play, it will negatively impact the value of both Josh Richardson and Tyler Johnson.

Mike Conley, Memphis Grizzlies

Mike Conley missed Tuesday's game with a toe injury, but it was not thought to be serious. He looks probable tonight, according to coach David Fizdale. Chandler Parsons also looks like he will play after getting a rest day in the Memphis Grizzlies' previous game.

George Hill, Utah Jazz

George Hill has played in just 11 games this season but he is averaging 20 points per game. His return could really shake up the Utah Jazz' offense tonight if he is ready to play full minutes. It was initially thought he would be active, but he did not go through shootaround, so he might be a game time decision. Shelvin Mack and Gordon Hayward would benefit the most if Hill is out again.

Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers

Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers are on the front half of a back to back tonight, so Embiid will miss Thursday's game before playing Friday. Richaun Holmes is still out with a concussion, so Ersan Ilyasova will get the start on Thursday.

Nerlens Noel is also expected to be released from the doghouse tonight, but Jahlil Okafor and Ilyasova will likely benefit the most from Embiid being out. However, it's a tough matchup against the Jazz.

Victor Oladipo, Oklahoma City Thunder

Victor Oladipo will miss his ninth straight game on Thursday as he is still having trouble shooting the ball with his injured wrist. Expect Russell Westbrook and Steven Adams to continue to get a big boost in usage -- mostly Adams, since Westbrook's usage is already at an ungodly level -- against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Andrew Bogut, Dallas Mavericks

Andrew Bogut and the Dallas Mavericks are also on the front half of a back to back, and their game on Friday is against Bogut's old team, the Golden State Warriors. He is officially questionable, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him sit. If that's the case, Salah Mejri and Dwight Powell stand to benefit the most.

Marco Belinelli, Charlotte Hornets

Jeremy Lamb is on a roll with Marco Belinelli injured. Belinelli has missed two straight games, and Lamb has shot the ball well off the bench in both contests. Look for more of that on Thursday if Belinelli is out again.
