Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Tuesday 12/20/16

Teams like the Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets got some bad news about their big men over the last 24 hours, but it's good news for those looking for some value tonight in NBA DFS.

Notable Injuries

Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers

Blake Griffin's troublesome knee is going to cost him the next three to six weeks, but it's also opening some nice fantasy value on the Los Angeles Clippers. DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul immediately get a huge boost, but it's tough to tell which other role players get a lift. If its members of the frontcourt, Luc Mbah a Moute, Marreese Speights and Brandon Bass could all see a bump in minutes while Griffin is out.

Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz are resting Derrick Favors tonight, so Rudy Gobert and Gordon Hayward both see a nice bump with the Jazz big man sitting out. George Hill is also out tonight, so look for Shelvin Mack to be a popular value option.

Clint Capela, Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets were just starting to roll, but they will be without their big man, Clint Capela, for the next six weeks due to a small fracture in his leg. This is going to open up a good amount of minutes for guys like Montrezl Harrell. With no other true centers on the roster, Sam Dekker and Ryan Anderson could both see a nice boost while Capela is out.

Kevin Love, Cleveland Cavaliers

Kevin Love is out on Tuesday night for the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron James and Kyrie Irving will see a good boost in usage while Channing Frye might be one of the best value options on the board. Tristan Thompson could even see a few more minutes, as could Richard Jefferson.

Derrick Rose, New York Knicks

Derrick Rose went through a full practice on Monday and is hopeful to play on Tuesday. As long as he goes through shootaround, it looks like he will be available tonight, which would send Brandon Jennings back to the bench.

Brook Lopez, Brooklyn Nets

Brook Lopez is resting tonight for the Brooklyn Nets, which could open things up for the Brooklyn frontcourt. Luis Scola becomes an interesting option tonight, and Justin Hamilton might even be forced out of the doghouse.

Rudy Gay, Sacramento Kings

Rudy Gay and Omri Casspi are listed as questionable for Tuesday night's game. If they both play, they'll take minutes from Garrett Temple, Matt Barnes and Anthony Tolliver.

Tyreke Evans, New Orleans Pelicans

Tyreke Evans has been playing well in limited minutes since he returned from a knee injury, but he will be rested on Tuesday with the New Orleans Pelicans playing on the front half of a back to back.

Al Farouq Aminu, Portland Trail Blazers

Al-Farouq Aminu's status for Tuesday seems to be up in the air, which is never good for DFS players. Coach Terry Stotts might be playing games with Aminu's status, so beware if you're thinking about rostering anyone in the Portland Trail Blazers' frontcourt.

Lesser Injuries

Rodney Stuckey, Indiana Pacers

Rodney Stuckey is still questionable for the Indiana Pacers after missing the last three games. He is traveling with the team, but it looks like he might come down to a game-time decision. With Monta Ellis still out, Paul George, Glenn Robinson III and C.J. Miles should all see heavy minutes.

Cory Joseph, Toronto Raptors

Cory Joseph looks like he is still dealing with the flu and is listed as questionable for tonight. Without him on Sunday, Fred VanVleet got 23 minutes off the bench, but he is a questionable fantasy option.

Michael Beasley, Milwaukee Bucks

Michael Beasley went through some of practice on Monday and is listed as questionable for tonight. If he misses, Mirza Teletovic might be in play as a value option.

Miami Heat

The Miami Heat are dealing with a few backcourt injuries that could alter their rotation tonight. Wayne Ellington is already ruled out while Rodney McGruder is questionable. If McGruder is out, too, Tyler Johnson, Josh Richardson and Justise Winslow could all see 30-plus minutes, and James Johnson might see a bump, too.
