5 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 12/12/16

Marreese Speights enters tonight trying to keep his double-digit scoring streak alive. What other value plays do you have to choose from?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup on Monday.

Malcolm Brogdon, PG, Milwaukee Bucks

FanDuel Price: $3,700
Projected FanDuel Points: 17.6
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.75

Malcolm Brogdon has been doing a decent job in his rookie campaign, ranking ninth among rookies with 21 minutes per game. Over his past three games, Brogdon is averaging 12 points, 3 assists, and 1.7 steals in 24.2 minutes.

The Milwaukee Bucks visit the Toronto Raptors, who off the fifth-best matchup to opposing point guards among teams playing on Monday.

Jamal Crawford, SG, Los Angeles Clippers

FanDuel Price: $4,100
Projected FanDuel Points: 20.4
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.98

Jamal Crawford has been heating up over his past four games, averaging 19.5 points on 55% shooting from the field. With Blake Griffin probable to play, Crawford may be asked to help out more than usual on the offensive end.

Among all shooting guards tonight, Crawford is projected to have the highest value at 4.98, just a notch above fellow sharpshooter and teammate, J.J. Redick.

Glenn Robinson III, SF, Indiana Pacers

FanDuel Price: $3,600
Projected FanDuel Points: 17.7
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.91

Glenn Robinson III will start in lieu of Monta Ellis, who is out with a groin injury. The Indiana Pacers have both Paul George and C.J. Miles back in the rotation, so Robinson III's shot attempts may be limited. In five games in which he's started, the small forward is averaging 15.2 points and 6.4 rebounds in 39 minutes.

According to our metrics, Robinson III is trending as the overall hottest player on tonight's slate -- over his last five games, he is playing 80.56% above his season average in terms of fantasy points per night.

Marreese Speights, PF, Los Angeles Clippers

FanDuel Price: $3,900
Projected FanDuel Points: 16.2
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.15

Whether or not Griffin is limited, Marreese Speights is capable of producing a nice stat line against the Portland Trail Blazers' big men. Over his last two games, Speights is averaging 16 points and 10.5 rebounds in just 20.5 minutes on the court.

According to our Heatmap, the Los Angeles Clippers have one of the more fruitful matchups, as they are favored by 9.5 points with an implied total of 114 points. In addition, the Blazers offer the best matchup against opposing power forwards.

Cody Zeller, C, Charlotte Hornets

FanDuel Price: $4,700
Projected FanDuel Points: 23.7
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.04

Cody Zeller is attacking the basket over his past four games, averaging 11.8 points with 3.8 free-throw attempts. In the four games prior to that stretch, Zeller was averaging 5.8 points with 0.5 free-throw attempts, so it's pretty clear he's getting more aggressive.

Zeller is projected to have the 10th-highest fantasy output among centers tonight. Furthermore, the Pacers offer the third-best matchup to opposing centers, so Zeller could be in for a solid performance.
