NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Sunday 12/11/16

Carmelo Anthony gets a nice boost in pace in a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. Which other players should we check out for NBA DFS?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and depending on injury news, even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer and a handful of other awesome tools to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with a primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 6 p.m. EST and features all five games.

Best of the Best

Karl-Anthony Towns (FanDuel Price: $8,700): With Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis and the Golden State Warriors in action, Towns may see a little less ownership than he should for his matchup with the Warriors. KAT has flashed a monster ceiling, putting up games of 75.6 and 50.5 FanDuel points over the past two weeks. He's our fourth-ranked player, per our projections, and he's quite a bit cheaper than Russ, Davis and Kevin Durant. The Minnesota Timberwolves have an implied total of 107 points, and the only worry here is that the 'Wolves could get blown out.
