5 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 12/5/16

If there are some high-priced studs in your NBA DFS lineup tonight, check out these value plays to fill out your squad.

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup on Monday.

Jerian Grant, PG, Chicago Bulls

FanDuel Price: $3,500
Projected FanDuel Points: 25.7
Projected FanDuel Value: 7.34

Jerian Grant will be starting in place of Rajon Rondo, who is suspended for one game. In two previous starts this season, Grant averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 3.5 steals in 30 minutes.

The Chicago Bulls play the Portland Trail Blazers, a team in which Grant played his best game earlier this season against, scoring 18 points and snatching 5 steals in a morale-boosting win for the Bulls.

Gerald Henderson, SG, Philadelphia 76ers

FanDuel Price: $3,700
Projected FanDuel Points: 20.0
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.41

Gerald Henderson will look to capitalize on the absence of Robert Covington, who will be missing the next three games. In five games in which he's played 30-plus minutes, Henderson is averaging 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists.

The Philadelphia 76ers host the Denver Nuggets, who offer the best matchup to opposing shooting guards among teams playing tonight.

Sam Dekker, SF, Houston Rockets

FanDuel Price: $3,900
Projected FanDuel Points: 19.2
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.93

Sam Dekker has already been playing well recently, but could produce even more if Trevor Ariza misses tonight's game due to back spasms. In the past three games, Dekker is averaging 12.7 points, 6 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 27 minutes.

Houston's matchup against the Boston Celtics should work in the small forward's favor, as well. Among teams suiting up on Monday, only two have been worse at defending the position than the Celtics.

Trey Lyles, PF, Utah Jazz

FanDuel Price: $4,200
Projected FanDuel Points: 18.8
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.48

After a rocky start, Trey Lyles has played well since the injury to Derrick Favors. Over the past 10 games, Lyles is averaging 12.8 points and 4.9 rebounds in 23.9 minutes.

With the Los Angeles Lakers being not that great at defending opposing power forwards, this looks like a juicy matchup for Lyles and the Utah Jazz

Jusuf Nurkic, C, Denver Nuggets

FanDuel Price: $4,300
Projected FanDuel Points: 24.2
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.63

Jusuf Nurkic has been in a slump, but much of that has to do with his limited minutes. Over nine games in which Nurkic has played less than 20 minutes, he is averaging 4.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks. On the flip side, when he's on the floor for over 20 minutes, those averages increase to 13.5 points, 9 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks.

With fellow big man Nikola Jokic missing the next three games and the Denver Nuggets facing a team that doesn't defend opposing centers well like the Philadelphia 76ers, Nurkic could see a boost in his production.
