5 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 11/14/16

Andre Roberson looks to continue his hot shooting streak in Detroit. Which other low-cost players are worth checking out?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup tonight.

Danté Exum, PG, Utah Jazz

FanDuel Price: $3,500
Projected FanDuel Points: 8.7

Danté Exum could draw his third consecutive start tonight if George Hill has to miss his fifth game in a row. In his past four games, Exum is averaging 7.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2 assists in 23.6 minutes. With news that Rodney Hood may be missing action as well, Exum could be in line for an extended workload versus the Memphis Grizzlies, who lead the league in most opponent points per shot.

Josh Richardson, SG, Miami Heat

FanDuel Price: $3,800
Projected FanDuel Points: 16.9

Josh Richardson has seen his minutes steadily increase since returning from a preseason injury and could see them rise even more due to the injury suffered by Goran Dragic. Richardson played 33 minutes in his most recent game and recorded 12 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals with only 1 turnover. Matched up against an undersized San Antonio Spurs backcourt, Richardson will look to tally up in the three-pointers department.

Andre Roberson, SF, Oklahoma City Thunder

FanDuel Price: $3,800
Projected FanDuel Points: 16.5

Not known to be a scorer, Andre Roberson has scored double digits in back-to-back games, something he's only accomplished twice previously in his four-year career. Over the past two games, Roberson is averaging 13.5 points, 2.5 three-pointers, and 52% shooting on 10.5 field goal attempts. In addition, his defensive presence is intact with 6 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, and a steal over the same stretch. Roberson will look to continue his hot streak against the Detroit Pistons, whose center, Andre Drummond, is considered doubtful tonight.

Dwight Powell, PF, Dallas Mavericks

FanDuel Price: $4,100
Projected FanDuel Points: 16.1

Dwight Powell just might be getting his shot this year, as he's logging a career-high 18.9 minutes per game thus far. In three games in which he's played 20-plus minutes, Powell is averaging 10.3 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals. He has played 27 minutes in each of his last two games and will look forward to extended minutes if Dirk Nowitzki is unable to go tonight versus the New York Knicks, who are ranked last in defensive efficiency.

Kelly Olynyk, C, Boston Celtics

FanDuel Price: $4,000
Projected FanDuel Points: 22.4

After missing the first two weeks of the season, Kelly Olynyk came back and provided a forgettable effort in his first game, scoring just 2 points in 27 minutes. However, the following two games have been much better for Olynyk as he's averaged 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. Olynyk will lose minutes when Al Horford is cleared to play again, which could be tonight versus the New Orleans Pelicans, but he is already proving to be a valuable asset regardless.
