The 4 Most Likely NBA Draft Lottery Scenarios
How much could the ping pong balls decide tonight for teams with a chance at the top overall pick?

If the Lakers Win

If you're asking me -- or many others, for that matter -- not much is likely to change if the Lakers take the lottery over the Sixers. It seems like the Lakers want to go with the player they feel will be the cornerstone of the franchise for years to come. Ingram would be a quicker fix, but there's no denying Simmons' abilities.

Although he lacks in perimeter shooting, Simmons winded up with 19.2 points (on 56% shooting), 11.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game for a total Box Plus/Minus of 11.6 -- ninth-best in the entire nation. The 19-year-old's skill and potential are undeniable, and even if he somehow busts, this is a no-brainer for Laker brass.

As a result, Philadelphia gets their perimeter scorer in Ingram.

The Celtics and Suns -- once again barring a surprising outcome of the top two -- would still have the same frame of mind going into their respective picks. With Simmons and Ingram off the board, they'll have their pick of the rest.
