Gordon Hayward first caught my eye tonight when he fit my personal maxim of "take a long, hard look at any wing player against Washington."

The Wizards have been awful against wing players this year. They're giving up the fourth most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards, and the second most to small forwards. At .387, they're giving up by far the highest three-point percentage in the league, and their 107.6 Defensive Efficiency ranks 21st. They're also allowing the fifth most points per game and the second-highest Effective Field Goal percentage.

Hayward is in a great spot to take advantage of this matchup tonight. Over the past month, he's averaging 35.7 FanDuel points per game, putting up 22.0 points, 5.3 boards and 5.0 assists. He's also really increased his volume from three-point range this year, attempting 5.8 threes per game over the past month.

He's leading the Jazz with a 26.8 percent Usage Rate in that span, also posting a 113.7 Offensive Rating while playing 39.2 minutes per game. Hayward is the focal point of the Utah offense, and with a matchup against a poor defensive team like the Wizards, he should really thrive.
