Dorian Finney-Smith, SF/PF, Dallas Mavericks

DraftKings Price: $3,400

As we near the end of the season, one increasingly strong outlet for finding value plays is by looking at younger players who are receiving extended minutes. One such player to target tonight is Dallas Mavericks second-year forward Dorian Finney-Smith.

Finney-Smith had actually seen a number of starts early in the season before seeing his minutes decline over the middle part of the year. He saw nine combined starts in October and November, averaging 20.5 and 20.8 DraftKings points per game in those monthly starts, respectively.

December and January were a different story, however. DFS (a handy initial set for this hobby of ours), was in the starting five just three combined times in 31 games. He has started 10 of 13 games since the calendar flipped to February, however, averaging 9.1 points, 7.4 boards, 2.0 dimes and 23.8 DraftKings points.

His worst outing across those 10 starts was a 16.75-DraftKings-point effort on February 13, but at his $3,400 salary tonight, that still represents a value of 4.93 points per $1,000. Simply put, if he's starting, he's not the one who's going to drag your lineup down, even on an off night. We currently project him for 19.7 DraftKings points when he takes on the Orlando Magic tonight, a team he's scored at least 25.0 Draftkings points each of the past two times he's faced them.
