3 NBA FanDuel Studs to Target on 2/7/19
Despite the uncertainty in the roster surrounding him, LeBron James stands out as a top fantasy play in tonight's matchup with the Celtics.

Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves

The Orlando Magic are allowing below-average fantasy efficiency to opposing centers this year, but the matchup may not be as bad as it looks on the surface.

Their defense is reasonable, ranking 15th in defensive rating and allowing a bottom-10 mark in points per game, but they sit only 23rd in total rebound rate, allowing the NBA's 9th-most boards per game to opponents.

Karl-Anthony Towns is a threat for strong offensive numbers in any matchup, averaging career-high marks in both points (24.8) and assists (3.5) per 36 minutes, and he adds to that career-best numbers in rebounds (13.3), steals (2.0) and blocks (1.0) per 36.

Unsurprisingly, this has translated to career-best fantasy efficiency, averaging 1.44 FanDuel points per minute. Even though his 33.2 minutes per game are a significant drop from last year (35.6) or the year before (37.0), this efficiency has him averaging a career-best 47.8 FanDuel points per game.

His recent minutes are right in line with that average, at 33.1 per game over his last eight, but his efficiency has picked up even further. Those last eight games have seen him eclipse 55 FanDuel points five times, notching at least 60 fantasy points in four of them.

With the Minnesota Timberwolves sitting as two-point underdogs against Orlando, we could also be in for a close game, which would likely lead to some expanded minutes for KAT as well.
