3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 2/1/19
After yesterday's trade, the Knicks will be extremely shorthanded against the Celtics. Which cheap options can you lock in there and elsewhere?

Mario Hezonja, SF/PF, New York Knicks

DraftKings Price: $4,200

If you didn't already know, on Thursday the New York Knicks dealt injured star Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks in a seven-player deal. On the Knicks' end they also sent out Trey Burke, Courtney Lee and Tim Hardaway Jr., and the newly-acquired Dennis Smith, DeAndre Jordan and Wesley Matthews aren't going to be available to play this evening.

While the backcourt is particularly scarce, Mario Hezonja has played a decent role of late across both forward spots. He should see the majority of minutes at the three for now, and that's after logging 30 or more minutes in two of his past three (25-plus in the other). He has put up just 26.25, 19.5 and 21.0 DK points in those three, but all he needs is 21 for five-times value (5.0 points per $1,000) at this low price.

Furthermore, without the departed Burke, Lee and THJ -- and Enes Kanter, who appears out of the rotation -- he's averaged 0.88 DK points per minute over 151 minutes, per NBA Wowy. Hezonja is a candidate to start and should play -- at the very least -- 33-plus minutes, which adds up to 29.0 DK points by simple math. Our models are a bit lower but still project him for 23.9 DK points and 5.7 points per dollar.
