3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 1/25/19
Despite his inconsistency, Tyler Johnson offers big value with a move into the starting lineup tonight.

Tyler Johnson, PG/SG, Miami Heat

DraftKings Price: $4,200

Miami Heat guard Tyler Johnson can often be a frustrating player to use in daily fantasy leagues. Though his minutes are often regularly high with teammate Goran Dragic continually on the shelf, his output is anything but consistent.

That's not to say it's entirely his fault. His team is simply not that fantasy-friendly in general. The Heat put up just 105.8 points per game, the fifth-fewest in the league this year and 4.7 points below the league average. They team is below average in assists as well, and Johnson is no exception. He averages just 2.5 assists in 25.2 minutes per game this season, which isn't a stat that encourages you to use him.

Despite that, he has a strong chance of being in the starting lineup tonight (just his seventh time this year), and he's taken advantage when given that opportunity. In his last four starts, he's scored a minimum of 27.0 DraftKings points. He's scored 22.25 or more in three of his past four games overall.

Our models have him returning solid value once again this evening. We have him projected for 26.7 DraftKings points, which would equate to a value of nearly 6.4 points per $1,000, the third-highest projected value on the slate.
