3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 1/9/19

Detroit Pistons guard Reggie Jackson is having a predictably solid year. His stats are more or less right in line with what he has done the past two years in Detroit. The only real difference is that he's been on the court for every single game this season, which is a big improvement after playing a combined 97 games over the past two seasons.

Jackson, who is averaging 26.5 DraftKings points per game, is coming off of two mediocre fantasy performances in which he failed to crack 20.0 DraftKings points. Don't put it all on him, however, as the Pistons had difficult matchups against the San Antonio Spurs and Utah Jazz.

He'll look to bounce back tonight against a much more enticing opponent, the Los Angeles Lakers. Jackson has taken a step forward in his matchups against LA. In his past five against them, he's put up 15.6 points, 4.0 boards, 5.4 assists, and 30.6 DraftKings points in an average of 26.3 minutes.

Our models see him finishing with close to that type of output again this evening. We project Jackson to finish with 27.5 DraftKings points. At his $4,600 salary, that would equate to a value of just under 6.0 DraftKings points per $1,000, our third-highest projected value on the slate.
