3 NBA DraftKings Studs to Target on 1/2/19

New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis was a late scratch for Monday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to an illness. Another two days seemed to have been enough to help him get better, as he's being listed as probable for tonight's game against the Brooklyn Nets.

After scoring 60-plus DraftKings points in four straight games including an 84.25-point effort against the Dallas Mavericks, Davis fell a bit back to earth in the last game he played before his illness. Of course, a down game for him still meant finishing with a double-double and 47.25 DraftKings points against the Houston Rockets.

He'll have an excellent chance to bounce back tonight in a game that has a total set at 230.5 points, highest on the slate. The Nets have dropped two straight after winning 9 of their previous 10 games. They dropped their only previous meeting against the Pelicans 117-115, a game in which Davis put up 59.5 DraftKings points. He put up 87.75 and 66.75 DraftKings points against them in his two previous meetings.

We have Davis projected for 58.0 DraftKings points tonight, though his upside is obviously much higher.
