3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 12/20/18

While we're still not that deep into the NBA season, try telling that to Miami Heat forward Derrick Jones Jr.. Jones saw solid minutes in his first three games and then logged 20 minutes just once between October 24 and December 7.

Since then, however, his minutes have skyrocketed. He's seen 21 or more minutes in five straight games, and his fantasy output has increased to match his growing opportunity. He's scored at least 23.5 DraftKings points in each of those five games, and he has a great chance to continue that streak tonight.

Justise Winslow is questionable for tonight after not practicing Tuesday or Wednesday. If he sits, expect Jones to be one of the main beneficiaries and see a boost in playing time. It could even mean a move back to the starting lineup.

We have Jones projected to score 0.84 DraftKings points per minute tonight. At his $4,400 salary, that means he'd need roughly 26 minutes of run to hit a value of 5.0 DraftKings points per $1,000, a mark which he could get close to hitting even if Winslow plays.
