Anthony Davis, PF/C, New Orleans Pelicans

DraftKings Price: $11,600

The best player in fantasy basketball this season--for daily players at least--has been New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis. His 59.5 DraftKings points per game is 4.3 more than second-place Joel Embiid. It would easily be over 60 per game if it weren't for a relatively poor three-game stretch when he was dealing with an elbow injury.

Davis has scored at least 60 DraftKings points in half of his games this season. The matchup looks tough on paper for him to do it again, as the San Antonio Spurs have held him below 50 DraftKings points in eight of his past 10 games against them, including a 44.0-point effort earlier this year. That matchup, however, was marred by Davis' aforementioned elbow injury. The Spurs have nobody on their roster who is able to stop Davis while he's playing at his top level, which has been nearly every game this year.

Davis is averaging career highs in rebounds, assists (his 4.9 per game is more than twice his previous career best), blocks, and three-point percentage. His 27.5 points per game is just 0.6 below last year's career high.

We project Davis for a baseline of 55.2 DraftKings points tonight. His upside, of course, is stratospheric.
