3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 10/17/18

The 2018-19 NBA season may have technically kicked off last night, but tonight is when the season really begins as the slate is full to the brim with 11 games. One of the highlights of the night is the matchup between the Houston Rockets and New Orleans Pelicans.

The Rockets won three of the four meetings between the two teams last year. In those games, the teams combined for 223.5 points per game, which makes it no surprise that tonight's 229.5 total is the highest on the slate.

Pelicans shooting guard E'Twaun Moore was a bright spot in the season series a year ago. He scored a season-high 36 points in the two teams' first battle last season. In the four games all total, he averaged 16.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.0 steal. In all, he put up a robust average of 29 DraftKings points and scored no fewer than 21 in any contest.
