Jrue Locking Up Dame

Jrue Holiday must be a Futurama fan, because he gave Damian Lillard the clamps in Game 1. Holiday defended Lillard on 54.7% of his offensive possessions, as opposed to the regular season, in which Lillard drew Holiday's efforts on just 38.4% of his possessions. Given the tall task, Holiday held Lillard to just 5 points on 1-of-11 shooting in 47 possessions.

While it's unlikely that he will continue to be that effective against one of the league's premier scorers, Holiday's defense is no joke. He took a huge leap forward defensively this season, holding his opponents to a 42.8% field goal percentage. The only qualified guards who held their opponents to a lower field goal percentage were Lillard and Ben Simmons.

As a whole, the New Orleans Pelicans have one of the worst defenses among playoff teams, so this isn't a complete stay-away spot. However, if Lillard is going to continue to see more Holiday defense, he may be worth avoiding in cash formats. We know the upside he has when he's hot, but Lillard may have a tough time getting to that point with Holiday glued to him.
