3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 3/6/18

J.J. Barea is a bit out of the price range that our traditional "values" come in at, but he is clearly a value with Wesley Matthews (hip) out of the lineup. Barea has averaged 30.1 DraftKings points in 26.3 minutes over the past three weeks and should push for 30-plus minutes now with Matthews sitting.

While Barea doesn't profile as a traditional shooting guard, just 7% of his minutes since January have come at the point guard position. He has been accompanied by one of Dennis Smith or Yogi Ferrell in 93% of his minutes during that span. He's actually been part of three-point-guard lineups more frequently than he has been the solo point guard in the game.

Both Barea and Doug McDermott ($3,600) stand to see 30-plus minutes in this one, with Barea clearly standing out from an efficiency perspective. He has averaged 1.09 DraftKings points per minute on the year, which actually goes up to 1.16 with Matthews off the court. That type of efficiency paired with an uptempo home matchup against the Denver Nuggets is enough to make Barea very enticing with extra playing time at his disposal.
