Chris Paul, PG/SG, Houston Rockets

DraftKings Salary: $10,000

Stephen Curry ($10,500) has been as hot as they come in recent weeks and is going to be a chalky option tonight against the Denver Nuggets. While he is an excellent play -- especially if Kevin Durant sits out -- there could be reasons to fade him in favor of Chris Paul in tournaments.

For starters, the price discrepancy from site to site between the two is notable. Curry comes in $700 more expensive on DraftKings than on FanDuel, while Paul's price is $200 lower on DraftKings. There's also the blowout factor. Curry's Golden State Warriors are double-digit favorites, while Paul's Houston Rockets have just a five-point spread.

The third and most obvious factor is the potential difference in ownership. With these two priced so closely and playing the same position, expect Paul's ownership to be signficantly lower. Our projections have Paul and Curry actually scoring the same amount of DraftKings points tonight. If that occurs, or if Paul even outscores Curry, at a lower ownership and salary, Paul owners will be at a significant edge to the field. Both guards are elite plays in any format, but Paul makes more sense as the large-field tournament pivot.
