Easy Mike Beasley

It probably shouldn’t have taken this long to mention Michael Beasley, considering he’s been as close to red hot as you can get over the past month or so, but here we are.

Over the course of his last 12 games, Beasley has missed at least four-times value (fantasy points per $1,000 in salary) just twice, while also dropping massively fantasy-rewarding stat lines like his 46 FanDuel points against Oklahoma City, his 51 against San Antonio, and his 45 just two nights ago against Washington.

And despite his averaging better than 31 FanDuel points a night since early December, Beasley’s salary over his last 12 games has remained at a reasonable $5,175 on average.

This isn’t to say Beasley can’t leave us high and dry, like following up 32 points and 12 rebounds in one game, with just 10 points and 2 boards the next. It is to say, however, that -- given the combination of affordability and his own ability to create waves of, say, 85 points in three games -- rostering him is usually worth the risk (at least lately).

With Kristaps Porzingis openly talking about his own fatigue, an energized Beasley remains a hot option. The Knicks take on the Heat tonight, followed by the Mavericks, Bulls, and Timberwolves next week.
