3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 12/27/17

With Lonzo Ball out on Christmas Day, Jordan Clarkson started and played 35 minutes. He took a whopping 24 shots in those 35 minutes, despite being ice-cold from the floor. He finished with a 33% shooting percentage, which may sound discouraging, but he was still able to pile up 42.5 DraftKings points. The fact that he was still willing to chuck up that many shots, even when they weren't falling, is exactly why Clarkson makes for such a strong option in daily fantasy. His usage rate ranks inside the top-25 in the league, and is the highest among players who have started fewer than 10 games.

Expect him to again be aggressive on the offensive end in this one. The likely return of Brandon Ingram hurts his value a bit, but if Clarkson is going to see 30-plus minutes it doesn't matter. He has averaged over a DraftKings point per minute all season, and needs just 28 points to reach five-times his salary-implied value tonight. He should have no issue reaching that number with extended playing time, even in a down-pace matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. Clarkson is a fine play in any format.
