No team has a higher implied team total (114 points) than Elfrid Payton's Orlando Magic, who Vegas has outscoring their season average by over 13 points. Considering their opponent, the Brooklyn Nets, play at the league's fastest pace and rank and 23rd in defensive efficiency, the bloated implied team total shouldn't come as much of a surprise. The 225.5-point over/under is also the highest on the slate, and by a wide margin.

Outside of a 20-point blowout loss in which he played just 23 minutes, Payton has been a force to be reckoned with recently. Excluding that game, he has averaged 41 FanDuel points in his last five.

A look at the RotoViz Game Splits App suggests that if the game script holds up, Payton should have no trouble maintaining his recent level of excellence. He has averaged 31.2 FanDuel points when Orlando has been projected for at least 112 points, as opposed to 27.8 in all others. When playing with an over/under above 220, he has averaged 32.4 FanDuel points.

Payton should take advantage of the positive game script and matchup against the Nets, who have allowed the second-most FanDuel points to opposing point guards this year. He is a viable play in all formats.
