DeMarcus Cousins and the New Orleans Pelicans are expected to see a larger boost to their scoring numbers than any team on tonight's 11-game slate, as Vegas has them outscoring their season average by over 10 points. That should come as no surprise, given the fact that their opponent, the Denver Nuggets, rank 29th in defensive efficiency.

Only two teams have a higher implied team total than New Orleans' mark of 114.5 points, and both have large spreads in their games, as opposed to this game, which has just a 2-point spread. The over/under in this one is set at 227 points, which is the largest on the slate.

According to the RotoViz Game Splits App, Cousins has played much better in positive game scripts this season. To be fair, this is a very small sample size, but Cousins has averaged 53.9 FanDuel points in games he has played with New Orleans in which they have had an implied team total above 105 points. In all other games in New Orleans, he has averaged 38.8.

He should be able to capitalize on Denver's defensive inefficiencies and benefit from the advantageous game script in this one, making him one of the strongest center plays on the board tonight. Cousins is a viable option in all formats.
