James Harden, SG, Houston Rockets

FanDuel Price: $12,400

Despite being just a five-game slate, tonight's slate boasts six of the bottom-10 teams in defensive efficiency, so there should be plenty of fantasy goodness to go around.

One of those teams is the Portland Trail Blazers, who will be tasked with slowing down James Harden and the Houston Rockets. Vegas doesn't see this going well for them, as they have awarded Houston the highest implied team total on the slate (114.75 points). Their 228.5-point over/under is also the largest on the slate, and by a wide margin.

Harden has been making a strong MVP case to close the season, which has translated to a ridiculous 61.8-FanDuel-point average over his past six games. It should be more of the same tonight if his past splits are any indication.

According to the RotoViz Game Splits App, Harden has posted stronger numbers when playing in shootouts. With an implied team total of at least 112 points this season, Harden has averaged 55.8 FanDuel points, as opposed to 50 in all other games.

While Portland hasn't posted poor fantasy numbers against opposing shooting guards, C.J. McCollum is hardly a quality defender. McCollum ranks 88th among shooting guards in defensive real plus-minus (DRPM), while his backup, Allen Crabbe, has been even worse, ranking 98th among 99 qualified two-guards.

The over/under suggests this game is the best to attack on this small slate, and there's no better place to start than with Harden. He is a terrific play in all formats.
