C.J. McCollum, SG, Portland Trail Blazers

FanDuel Price: $7,800

Just when we thought last year was C.J. McCollum's breakout year, he has stepped up his game this season to average a career-high 23.2 points per game while shooting 48.3% from the field. He is averaging 33.9 FanDuel points per night for the year.

Even though the shooting guard is coming off a disappointing 23.4-fantasy-point game on Tuesday, McCollum has been a great source for FanDuel points, recording six games with at least 30 FanDuel points across his last eight games. With the New York Knicks coming to town to play the second game of a back-to-back on Thursday, McCollum is set up with one of the best game scripts of the night.

With the Portland Trail Blazers owning the seventh-best offense in the NBA and the New York allowing sixth-most points per game, there should plenty of points to go around for the Blazers. The game is projected for the second-highest over/under of the evening with the Blazers owning the highest implied point total of the night.

Games that end up being shootouts tend to favor McCollum as he averages 2.5 more fantasy points per night in games with such a high implied total, according to the Rotoviz game splits app.

Helping him out even more is a nice matchup with defensively-average Courtney Lee. The Knicks' guard owns a -0.83 defensive real plus-minus, ranking him 55th among 98 qualified shooting guards. The Knicks, as a whole, struggle against two-guards, allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing shooting guards.
