While Kyrie Irving's mediocre peripheral numbers can give him a bit of a shaky floor, his elite scoring gives him huge upside -- something he has shown this month with a pair of 40-point games.
He has attempted at least 20 field goals in 8 of his last 11 games, averaging 21.0 per game with a big 34.3% usage rate in that span. A matchup with a Denver Nuggets team that ranks 29th with a 112.7 defensive rating puts him in a great spot to turn that volume into scoring.
He could also see a bump in his peripheral numbers, as the Cleveland Cavaliers rank in the middle-of-the-pack in pace, but should see some extra possessions with the Nuggets ranking seventh. Denver has also allowed the league's second-most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards.
