Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves

FanDuel Price: $10,600

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

It seems strange to say that Karl-Anthony Towns will go "overlooked," but given the circumstances, he isn't likely to carry heavy ownership. For starters, there are a lot of studs in good spots tonight, so paying up for Towns will be difficult. Also, there is incredible depth at center, making it even easier for daily fantasy players to justify spending down in order to fit in studs at other positions.

A few of the other centers in great spots include DeMarcus Cousins, Hassan Whiteside, Nikola Vucevic, Brook Lopez, Greg Monroe, Al Horford, Nerlens Noel, Alan Williams, and Clint Capela. So, basically, every center. With Towns in a slow-paced matchup against an elite shot blocker in Whiteside, he isn't likely to garner more ownership than the centers just mentioned.

Why You Should Use Him:

Towns has really been on another level recently, averaging 49.6 FanDuel points over his past 10 games. He's topped 55 points four times during this span.

While Miami's numbers against opposing centers don't jump off the page, they have been one of the easiest teams to attack in the post. They've allowed the sixth-most points in the post this season, after allowing the highest points per possession in the post last season. Towns should score at will down low, as he did in their previous meeting when he dropped 35 points.

The only thing that kept him from posting an absolutely monster game in that one was him grabbing only eight boards. While a matchup against Whiteside definitely isn't ideal from a rebounding perspective, that seems like a bit of an anomaly, given Towns' sixth-ranked 12.3 boards per game. He's also dominated the glass recently, averaging 16.4 rebounds over his last 10 games, including totals of 22, 19, 15, and 14 against teams in the top-10 in rebounding rate during that time.

Given the plethora of cheaper center options in great spots, rostering Towns in cash formats is a suboptimal move. Given the way Miami has defended the low post, though, he has the ability to be the top scorer on the slate, making him a great tournament option.
