3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Basketball Plays for 2/14/17
With Kevin Love out, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving will likely see big ownership tonight, but don't sleep on Tristan Thompson.

D'Angelo Russell, PG, Los Angeles Lakers

FanDuel Price: $5,900

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

There are also quite a few options at point guard, which should keep the inconsistent D'Angelo Russell's ownership low. With Kevin Love out tonight, Kyrie Irving is sure to be the chalk. If paying down, both Ricky Rubio and Darren Collison are in great spots and should deflect ownership from Russell.

Why You Should Use Him:

After averaging 42.2 FanDuel points in his first three games back in the lineup, Russell has fallen into a slump over his past three. Tonight's matchup against Collison and the Sacramento Kings provides an excellent opportunity for a bounce-back game, though.

While Sacramento has been middle of the pack against point guards this season, allowing the 12th-most FanDuel points to the position, Ty Lawson was in the lineup for a majority of that time. Lawson has missed most of the last three games for the Kings and is questionable once again tonight, meaning we could be looking at another heavy workload for Collison, who is a far inferior defender. While Lawson ranks 27th among point guards in DRPM, Collison finds himself ranked 71st.

Collison has been asked to play 41 minutes per game over his past three, and if Lawson sits again tonight, Collison should provide a very beatable matchup for Russell.

Russell is definitely not a cash-game option, but he shouldn't carry much ownership, making him an intriguing pivot off of the chalkier plays.
