In case you thought Charles Oakley was already mad enough, the Denver Nuggets went into Madison Square Garden Friday night and defeated the New York Knicks 131-123. The best big man in the house had never donned a Knicks jersey either. And that man was Nikola Jokic.
In 36 minutes, the Joker tallied 40 points on 17 of 23 shooting from the floor, 2 of 3 from three and 4 of 5 from the free throw line. The 21-year-old Serbian also added 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals to his box score total.
After all was said and done, Jokic had earned a true shooting percentage of 79.4% and an offensive rating of 161.3 points per 100 possessions. That came to a nERD of 52.24, 65.8 better than the opposing Kristaps Porzingis.
