Kyrie Irving, PG, Cleveland Cavaliers

FanDuel Price: $8,000

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

There are a lot of different ways to go at point guard today. At the top, Russell Westbrook will demand some ownership, while Kyle Lowry and Isaiah Thomas are both in dream matchups. In the same price range as Kyrie Irving, both Kemba Walker and Mike Conley are playing well and in advantageous matchups.

Among all these appealing top options, Irving is likely to fly under-the-radar against a Sacramento Kings team that has defended the point guard position well this season.

Why You Should Use Him:

Irving and the Cleveland Cavaliers flopped in a big way on Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers, but are in a good spot for a bounce back against the Kings, who rank 26th in defensive efficiency. Cleveland is projected for 108.8 points, which is the third-highest on the slate at the moment.

While Sacramento has fared well against point guards from a fantasy perspective, starting point guard Darren Collison is not a quality defender. Collison ranks 76th among 85 qualified point guards in real defensive plus/minus, after ranking 59th of 68 point guards last season. In two meetings with Collison and the Kings last season, Irving averaged 45.4 FanDuel points.

Irving has struggled a bit, but Friday offers a great opportunity to break out of that slump. Don't forget that prior to his hamstring injury, he was in the middle of a seven-game hot streak in which he averaged 48.7 FanDuel points. His upside is massive against Sacramento, making him an excellent tournament play.
