Kyle Lowry, PG, Toronto Raptors

FanDuel Price: $8,800

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Today's point guard pool is as loaded as it has been all season.

At the top, John Wall, Isaiah Thomas, Damian Lillard, and Kemba Walker are all in great spots. In the mid-price range, Reggie Jackson, Dennis Schroder, and D'Angelo Russell are all playing well and in good matchups. Marcus Smart and Michael Carter-Williams are both solid value plays and should see huge minutes with teammates injured.

Amid all of this is Kyle Lowry, who will likely slip through the cracks due to his restrictive price tag.

Why You Should Use Him:

Lowry has put up some huge totals recently, scoring 50-plus FanDuel points in three of his past five games. He's played over 40 minutes in three straight games, and should be locked into huge minutes again against the Boston Celtics in a game Vegas has the Toronto Raptors projected for the fourth-highest team total on the slate (111.3).

Normally, a matchup against the Celtics isn't overly inviting for opposing point guards because Boston has two of the best on-ball defenders in the league in Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart.

However, Bradley is out tonight, meaning Smart will have to spend the majority of his time on DeMar DeRozan, leaving Isaiah Thomas on Lowry. The diminutive point guard has been a liability on defense, ranking dead last among 85 qualified point guards in defensive real plus-minus.

Last time these two met, Lowry finished with 34 points and 7 assists, a line that wouldn't be surprising to see tonight. Given his recent inconsistency (two of his past four games have resulted in less than 35 FanDuel points) and the depth at point guard, Lowry is more of a tournament play than a cash game consideration.

He's displayed elite upside recently and could easily end the night as the top scoring point guard. Give him a long look when constructing tournament lineups.
