Starling Marte (calf) out of Pirates' lineup Monday
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte is out of Monday's starting lineup against the Chicago Cubs.
Marte exited Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers with left calf tightness. With the Pirates eliminated from playoff contention, they may opt to limit Marte over the final week of the season. He will be replaced in center field by Jordan Luplow, who will move over from left. Corey Dickerson will take Luplow's spot and bat fifth versus Cubs left-hander Cole Hamels.
Marte is averaging 10.9 FanDuel points in 139 games this season, while slashing .276/.321/.451 with 19 home runs, 69 RBI, 76 runs scored, and 33 steals across 578 plate appearances.
