Eduardo Nunez (knee) out for Red Sox Thursday night
Boston Red Sox infielder Eduardo Nunez (knee) will not play on Thursday versus the New York Yankees.
Nunez was removed in the ninth inning of Wednesday's game against the Yankees with soreness in his right knee. He's dealt with knee issues before and will likely undergo tests to make sure everything is fine ahead of the postseason. Rafael Devers will take over at the hot corner in Thursday's series finale.
Nunez is averaging 7.9 FanDuel points per game this season, while slashing .264/.288/.389 with 10 home runs, 44 RBI, 56 runs scored, and 7 steals across 494 plate appearances.
