Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (blister) likely won't pitch again this year, Blue Jays manager John Gibbons conceded Tuesday.
Stroman is dealing with a blister on his right middle finger that originally popped up back in the beginning of August. The 27-year-old right-hander hasn't pitched since getting smacked for 4 runs over 1 2/3 innings in a loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on September 3.
Stroman was averaging 20.7 FanDuel points with a 4-9 record in 19 starts this season, while twirling a 5.54 ERA and 1.48 WHIP with 77 strikeouts and 36 walks across 102 1/3 innings.
