Roberto Aguayo waived by Los Angeles
The Los Angeles Chargers have released kicker Roberto Aguayo, which means that Caleb Sturgis has won the starting kicker job.
Aguayo, a former first-round draft pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has never found his footing in the NFL as of yet. A mixture of incredible expectations combined with a failure to covert in high-pressure situations has completely derailed the young kicker's career thus far.
He didn't take a regular-season kick in 2017, but in his rookie season in 2016 Aguayo went 22-31 on field goal attempts.
