Cubs' Tyler Chatwood lands on disabled list with inflammed hip

Chicago Cubs pitcher Tyler Chatwood is on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to August 21, due to left hip inflammation.

What It Means:

Chatwood aggravated his hip during his most recent start on Saturday. It's not clear if he will be ready to return when first eligible. Dillon Maples has been recalled from Triple-A Iowa in a corresponding roster move. Alec Mills will toe the rubber for the Cubs on Friday versus the Cincinnati Reds.

Chatwood is averaging 18.4 FanDuel points in 23 games (20 starts) this season, while recording a 5.22 ERA with 85 strikeouts and 93 walks across 101 2/3 innings.
